Horse Training question by : Were and How do I get into a Horse Training competition were you break a horse in 3 days?
Hello I have been watching a few horse training competition’s and I really like it so I tried to break my gelding in a Few day’s and I succeeded. So now I am wondering were and how do I get into it. Is there a course you must take, And were could I get started in this activity?

If you can help me I thank you I am located in Central Alberta.

Horse Training best answer:

Answer by Anonymous
Why would you want to do that?

If you want your horse to be docile and well-behaved and sound when it’s fully trained, you need to be gentle with the breaking in, take it slowly and carefully. Rushing the breaking in of a horse can cause permanent negative effects later in its life. In some cases, it’s even abusive, because people want to break the horses fast, no matter what, so they are rough, and don’t care about how the horse feels. I’m not saying you will do this, but it’s a heads-up. Rushing the breaking in of a horse breaks no advantage to it, and neither does it prove you to be a better trainer. The best trainers who make the best horses are the ones who take their time, and do everything with determination and patience.

I have a friend who’s a very good horse trainer…trained horses basically all her life. Anyway, we live in Idaho, & I was wondering what a reasonable price would be for training a horse, say for a month.?

Thanks in advance!
She trains western only. Breaks the wildest of colts, & does it really really well.

She trains from roping to reining, to basically everything western.

Horse Training best answer:

Answer by Yohanson.
If she’s good, has nice facilities, and known in the area for being good, $ 400-700. Depending on boarding and all the other things.

Saddle breaking should be more. Dressage, reining, and cutting, even more. Barrel racing, other speed events, jumping, team penning, roping, should be a tad less.

Pet Bird Care question by hollymichal: Do you need to find a new home for your pet Bird/s?
If you have a bird that you can’t look after anymore I will re-home it with my other birds, where it will be taken care of and loved, in a safe environment, with all its needs catered for. I can travel to collect in and around Exeter UK, or just outside, but you will need to bring the bird to me if you are further away. I will not charge you anything and you can visit your pet whenever you like to check up on his/her progress. I run an Aviary with Cockatiels, Kakarikis, Lovebirds, Quails and Budgies and have room for more. I am also able to take Canaries as I am currently preparing a sanctury for these.

Pet Adoption question by Barkley Hound: What is a pet adoption fee on Craigslist?
You are allowed to “sell” pets on Craigslist but it is OK to offer them for adoption with an adoption fee. How is an adoption fee different from “selling” other than the wording?
I do not like any answers so far. What I am actually asking is why can’t someone just say the price is an “adoption fee”? How can Craigslist determine if the price is a “selling price” or an “adoption fee”? Would there be a cutoff? For example an adoption fee would be under $ 25 and a selling price over $ 100. Anything in between is questionable.

Answer by BrighterThanTheMoon☾
basically the same thing unless you run a rescue or animal shelter. most animal shelters/ rescues use the money to help other animals and they (the people) get 0$ , all the money is used towards the welfare of an animal. but for selling, you are “selling” the dog for a fee that you end up keeping

also, an adoption fee is to ensure that the adoptER will not use the animal for anything other than keeping it as a pet. there are lots of crazy people in the world who would abuse an animal that they got for free. i guess that would be the same for selling, but usually sellers dont care what the animals’ fates are as long as he gets his money

Pet Bird Care question by : Going out of town for a couple of weeks But i have a pet bird?
im not exactly sure what to do because nobody i know knows how to take care of a bird and i cant realy afford a “pet sitter” and there is no way he can come with me. Any idea of what i could do?? i know i cant leave them unsupervised even if i gave them enough food and water… i just need help please!!!

Pet Bird Care best answer:

Answer by thefinalresult
Call your avian vet and ask if they board birds. If not then don’t go out of town.

Snippits: Awww, rats!
Pet Bird Care
“Whaddaya think I'm doing, you *&^%# bird?” my friend squawked back. This was standard behavior for Will, and he was lucky, according to my friend, that his neck wasn't broken years earlier than the date of the fatal fall. So yeah, there are pets; …
Pet Birds : Can Parrots & Parakeets Live Together?

Parrots and parakeets should not live together in the same cage, as many birds are conducive to fighting, and birds can do major damage to each other by chewing each other’s feet and plucking out feathers. Only keep communal birds in the same cage with information from a pet hobbyist in this free video on pet care.
